Time for the Back to Blogging Challenge

I’m just going to admit it. This summer has been a wash for me when it comes to blogging. Summer is not my most productive time to begin with and this year I just feel like I got very overwhelmed with work, yard upkeep, and a commitment I made for an event for a club I belong to.

Now that summer is winding down, I’m ready to get back into blogging mode. Plus there is something about back-to-school time that makes me ready to reboot old habits and start new ones.

Of course, after not blogging for a while I need to work on making it a habit again. On making it something I work on consistently.

To get back into the groove, I decided to start a challenge for the month of September. Now I’ve been a part of blogging challenges before, but I always dropped out because the daily tasks were too much to fit in the time I have working full-time and I couldn’t keep up. Talk about disappointed.

With this challenge, you set the goal for how much time you want to work on your blog each week and you determine what tasks you will do during that time. The challenge part is you setting and keeping the schedule to do those tasks each week for the month of September. The ultimate goal is to make blogging a consistent part of your week so you move your blog forward.

Why join the challenge?

There are a few reasons to come join in the challenge-

  • Accountability- Declare your goal each week for others to see and then let us know how you did at the end of the week.
  • Support- We all know what it’s like trying to fit blogging into your busy schedule so we can support each other as we work toward our goals.
  • Tips – Come find some tips and come share some tips on meeting goals
  • Motivation- How can you meet a goal without motivation?

The challenge will run from September 1st through September 31st.

Interested? All you have to do is join the Moonlighting Bloggers Facebook group. That’s where the challenge will take place.

  1. I’ll pass, I blog every 2nd day and September seems to be bit hard since I’ll have to start writing my thesis, but good luck with the challenge 🙂
